Abstract:At present, Chinese universities often build a special system when they organize and implement interdisciplinary educa? tion, and the goal, model and mechanism are separated from the whole education system. In contrast, world - class universities repre? sented by Stanford University pay attention to the integration of interdisciplinary education into the entire education system of colleges and universities, which is reflected taking interdisciplinary literacy as a requirement for all students in the goal, highly relying on the existing disciplinary professional education forms in the model, and fully relying on the existing disciplinary professional education or? ganizations in the mechanism. In order to promote the practice of interdisciplinary education from separation to integration, our colleges and universities need to make comprehensive efforts in three aspects: objective reshaping, model optimization and mechanism empowe? ring, that is, cultivating all students’ interdisciplinary literacy, establishing open operational ideas, and fully exploiting the potential of the existing system.
