Abstract:The US government and educational organizations regard the cultivation of high - quality teachers as an important guar- antee to support integrated STEM education. In other words,the goal should be to cultivate STEM talents suitable for future needs,and standardized requirements should be formed for teachers to carry out integrated STEM education. That is,teachers’professional stand- ards should be improved from the perspectives of students,content,teaching methods and technology application; and should through the implementation strategy based on modular design to promote the implementation of new standards; and only by issuing guidance documents and developing educational materials can the new standards be applied and promoted; with the new standards,a series of complementary and supporting measures are constructed. The development of teacher professional standards in the context of integrated STEM education in the United States of America can be used as a reference for the cultivation of STEM teachers in China.
