Comparative higher education refers to a highly applied cross - discipline with the use of comparative law to study the basic problems of all levels and hot issues in the world,which has cross - disciplinary,cross - cultural and cross - regional characteris- tics. The development of comparative higher education has experienced the reference,multidisciplinary perspective,cooperation and communication in reflection construction. Its methodology comes from comparative education,but it can also provide a new theoretical vision and practical direction for the development of higher education. Under the background of globalization,there are problems in the weak theoretical foundation of international comparative higher education,the defects of comparative law,the complexity of higher edu- cation system,the contradiction of teamwork and the construction of discourse system,which pose serious challenges to the future de- velopment of the discipline.
