Abstract:In recent years,online and distance education in Canada has developed rapidly. Based on the relevant surveys in the U- nited States,the Canadian Digital Learning Research Association has launched a large - scale survey on Colleges and universities across the country every year since 2017,and then released a tracking report on online education in Colleges and universities across the coun- try every year on the basis of the survey. So far,it has released three main reports and 12 sub reports. Though the analysis of the re- port,we can find that online education in Canada has the following characteristics: the number of online courses and registered students is increasing and the increasing rate is about 10% every year; online education technology is constantly improved and enriched,invol- ving learning management system,intelligent technology,adaptive learning,learning analysis and other diversified technologies; the vast majority of colleges and universities have affirmed the value of online education and have made long - term plans for the develop- ment of online education; Meanwhile,the development of online education in Canada also faces many obstacles. Based on the above research,this paper discusses the development of online education in China in the post - epidemic era: vigorously promote online edu- cation and promote the development of hybrid education; China can also organize a nationwide online education survey,which has a certain practical significance for China; online education further enriches the use of technology,including intelligent technology; Break through the barriers,deeply promote the development of online education; strengthen the credit conversion system for online education.
