Cultural security is an important component of national comprehensive competitiveness and related to the independence of national spirit. By the related study concerning college students’cognitive security,its findings say that the collegestudents attach importance to the national cultural security,and they think the fading of traditional culture is the biggest threat at present. Besides,the results also show that they have three deficiencies with their three holding thoughts. Specifically,they support the cultural screening to foreign culture,butcan’t realize the invasion of implicit culture; support the inheritance of Chinese culture,but prefer the traditional culture with novel forms; and generally lack of cultural self - confidence,but willing to accept the cultural guidance. Aimed at the a- bove - mentioned deficiencies,and in order to enhance the students’awareness of cultural safety,it is needed to carry out diversified cultural safety education from the perspective of schools and countries in the future.
