As an emerging technology,block chain has been widely used in various fields of society,and its application in educa- tion is mainly concentrated on the level of learners and education managers. As higher education is a multi - stakeholder field,the lack of systematic research is inevitably limiting. Educational ecology provides a new approach for the applied research of block chain in col- leges and universities,interacting the block chain with the three value bodies of the human - centered education ecosystem. Eight as- pects of block chain applications and higher education have been formed,such as digital sovereignty maintenance,collaborative learn- ing construction,cultivation system customization,growth record keeping,lifelong learning implementation,certificate anti - counter- feit verification,funding model upgrade,management system optimization,etc. It provides a new framework for the application re- search of block chain in higher education.
