Started with the background of part - time teachers’emergence in American universities,this article analyzed the cur- rent situation and problems of part - time teachers in American universities,explored the future career direction of part - time teachers to get some inspiration from it,used the experience of developing part - time teachers in American universities for reference to promote the development of part - time teachers in China’s universities and the overall level of teacher construction.
