With the development of the modernization of education,the traditional teaching mode gradually fails to meet the needs f learners. As a new theory,multi - mode discourse analysis has been applied to college English teaching with remarkable effects. owever,there are few studies combining multi - mode teaching mode with flipped classroom teaching method at present. This paper ttempts to combine multi - mode theory with flipped classroom teaching mode to investigate the effect of multi - mode flipped classroom aching mode in college English listening courses. Research shows that multi - mode flipped classroom teaching model can be effec- vely applied in college English listening class to improve students’listening level and promote the modernization of education.
