Since Macao’s return to China in the past 20 years,the development of postgraduate education in Macao has mainly one through three stages: expansion of scale,transformation and development,and improvement of quality and efficiency. It has real- ed the rapid development from small to large,from weak to strong,from single to rich,and has gradually formed the basic character- tics of the development of postgraduate education in Macao,including promoting the development of postgraduate education by impro- ing scientific research,running schools internationally as an important way,and taking the introduction of relevant policy system as the ay to promote the development of postgraduate education. Under the new opportunities and challenges,the reform and development of ostgraduate education in Macao should pay attention to the top - level design of the government,strengthen the concept of internation- lization connotation development,and deepen the consciousness of characteristic competition.
