In the period of socialist construction,the Party Central Committee carried out a series of ideological and political edu- cation activities by analyzing China’s major political,economic and cultural situations. The activities included carrying out the rectifi- cation campaign,carrying out investigations and research,promoting democracy,carrying out the study of the works of Marxist theory. Along with the country’s coveted mistakes in the guidelines,ideological and political education has also caused negative effects,but o- verall it still played a positive role in socialist construction. Ideological and political education can consolidate state power in socialist construction,mobilize the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the broad masses of the people in building socialism,and play an exemplary role.
