The S - University's 2017“bad review”graduate degree theses are reviewed by experts based on blind - commentary, among which 411 papers are picked out. Qualitative research on word frequency statistics and literature coding methods are used to ana- lyze the opinions on these dissertations. By the analysis,it is believed that the“bad evaluation”postgraduate theses have seven char- acteristics: unclear research theme,disordered logical structure,improper analysis and argumentation method,unrealistic conclusions, irregular writing,poor writing attitudes and lack of innovation. And we further categorize the seven aspects into the requirements of dis- cipline,normative,academic,practical and innovative for graduate degree thesis. It provides a reference for the identification of“bad review”dissertations in the thesis management,and also provides new ideas and methods for optimizing its quality evaluation system.
