Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,the Party and the state have placed teachers'ideological and political work in an important position,putting forward a series of requirements for university teachers'political stand,ideological concept and value orientation. From these requirements,we condensed the standard of ideological and political quality of university teachers in the new era: to strengthen the superiority of the socialist system,to have a decision to become a Marxist scholar,to have national and social re- sponsibility,and to strive for becoming active practitioners of the core values of Chinese socialism. In order to further publicize and car- ry forward this standard,to improve the ideological and political quality of university teachers,we should carry out the work from three aspects: to raise the status of the ideological and political work of university teachers by internal and external coordination,to imple- ment the ideological and political work of university teachers according to local conditions,and to form a joint effort to seek the actual effect of the ideological and political work of university teachers.
