The key construction of higher education in China has gone through three stages: the construction of key universities, the construction of world - class universities and the construction of double - first - class universities. In the first two stages,the conno- tation and relationship of internationalization and nationalization are different. However,on the whole,imitation and transplantation have always been the main ways and means of construction. Entering the double first stage,in order to take root in China’s universities, establishing confidence in the system is the key point. We should make every effort to realize two directions: “running a university in China”to“being a university in China”and from“being influenced by others”to“influencing others”,as well as Emphasizing and paying attention to China’s influence and voice in different regions so as to further enhance China’s reputation and leading role in these regions and countries.
