Modern apprenticeship is a kind of vocational education,combining traditional apprenticeship training and modern school education. It adapts to the needs of social production and is one of the current trends of vocational education in the world. Jiang- su province has always been a big province of education,especially in southern Jiangsu,which has developed economy and many enter- prises. The scale of vocational education and the ability to run schools are among the best. This provides a unique condition for the ex- ploration and practice of modern apprenticeship. Taking the Sino German Engineering College of Suzhou Chien - shiung Institute of Technology as an example,this paper analyzes the implementation of modern apprenticeship in small and medium - sized cities in southern Jiangsu,so as to provide reference for other higher vocational colleges.
