It is both necessary and possible for non -governmental universities to transform to applied technology universities. Non -governmental universities focus on applied talents training and school -enterprise cooperation,so it has certain advantages to trans- form to applied technology universities. Meanwhile,timely revision of“Law of People’s Promotion”also provides guarantee for its transformation. However,there are many realistic problems in their transformation process,such as increasing numbers of institutions and decreasing source of students,unclear school -running orientation,irrational faculty structure,and the like. Therefore,faced with the challenges of transformation,non -governmental university should define school -running goals,pay attention to connotation devel- opment,adjust discipline structures,lay emphasis on talent training,optimize faculty structures,enhance faculty quality and so on.
