The extensive application of artificial intelligence will impact on many aspects of social life. In the field of higher educa- tion,it can exert certain influence on seven aspects,include teachers,students,teaching,research,discipline and specialties,uni- versity administration and higher education system. However,it can’t completely replace teachers and administrators,it can’t replace students to learn,it can’t change the nature of teaching,it can’t handle complicated scientific research,and it can’t even impact on humanities and eliminate vocational colleges. The reason is that artificial intelligence,as a new technology,can only promote the re- form of higher education in the form of technological revolution. However,it can’t change the nature of education and the educational behavior and structure decided by it,nor can it change the mission of higher education and the internal and external relations deter- mined by higher education.
