Abstract:Under the new circumstance of professional development of higher education in universities,reform practicality research of English education should be oriented to three aspects including educational resources,educational model and curriculum provision. Development of educational resources should be centered on the real occupational environment and professional requirements,which strengthens professional construction of educational resources in colleges and universities. The curriculum provision and construction of educational model should highlight the new direction of social communication,social emotional education model so as to promote the development of college students’language application ability. In addition,the curriculum provision should adapt to the coordinated de- velopment between the theory and practice,emphasize its scientific nature and rationality. What is the most important,it should inter- pret a new definition for“practicality”of today’s college English education.
